7 Month Recap in 7 Days: April Happenings

In early April, we took a mini weekend trip to Green Bay, WI with Fisch's family to visit Lambeau field where the Packers play.  Having lived in Wisconsin all my life, it is almost a sin that it took me 26 years to visit such an important place.  Not going to lie, though... I am a fair weather football fan.  I enjoy the parties and food and friends associated with football season but do I really understand what is happening in the games when I attempt to pay attention? Nope. I'm trying, though. I really am.  Despite that fact, I had such a good time!  The Packers have such an interesting history and are so fan based that I am proud to say the Packers are my team.

1. Outside Lambeau 2. Little kids lend their bikes to Packer players to cross the street to the stadium. 3. One of Fisch's family friends, the official Packers photographer for over 60 years, had his own exhibit in the hall of fame! 4 + 5. The famous Lambeau Leap! Fisch did it... I needed some help. 6. The whole group in the stadium.

At the end of April was my little sister, Michaela's, junior prom.  I think I was just as excited as her! We are ten years apart so somtimes I end up acting more like a proud parent than a big sister.  It was so much fun helping her and her friends get ready and being in the big mob of parent photographers, though :)
1. Getting ready 2. Pictures at Yerkes Observatory in Williams Bay, WI 3. Sisters. Can you tell? 4. Michaela <3 Jon 5. Who needs a limo when you have a boat??

And just for fun...

7 Month Recap in 7 Days: Our March Myrtle Beach Vacation

March was filled with ups and downs.

The up being Fisch and I took a spring break roadtrip to visit our friend Joe in North Carolina and then made our way down to Myrtle Beach for a couple days.  The trip was almost derailed, though, by a series of events that all happened in the week before we departed.  It started with my e-mail being hacked and my debit card number being stolen, which may or may not have something to do with my e-mail being hacked, and ultimately being left debit cardless for vacation.  The whopper of them all, though, was at 7:00 the night before we to leave at 6am, the brakes on my Lil' Focus, the car we were planning on taking on our roadtrip, went out! Bad things happen in 3's right?  I was ready to call the whole thing off but luckily Fisch calmed me down, told me everything would be ok, we would deal with my car when we got home and we would just rent a car.  So that's what we did (I have to say, it was my first time renting a car and felt very grown up doing so).  After everything had settled down I realized how lucky we were that my brakes went out BEFORE we left instead of while we were driving through the mountains or something. Lil' Focus didn't earn another bumper sticker but at least we didn't die.

We ended up having a wonderful time. I'm so glad we went.

1. We have arrived! 2. Sea Food Buffett...Best ideas ever! 3. Mrytle Beach @ Night 4. Sunrise 5. Bundled up at the Beach Bar 6. On the Pier 7. Aquarium 8. In the tunnel 9. The extent of our swimming 10. McFisch + Joey Bear

7 Month Recap in 7 Days: January + Febuary

Hi, All!

I know, I know, long time no post right?  Just about seven months to be exact.  My absence is mostly due to laziness, though some other little hiccups along the way may have contributed to my lack of ambition.

But, I'm back!  It's summer, I am done teaching summer school, and I have made it a goal to post regularly again.  Maybe not every day but, you know, more than once every 7 months.

I have come back for a couple reasons but the main one is that I missed having this little documentation of our life.  I love looking back at old posts and reminiscing.  My friend also pointed out that pictures and posts about all the wedding planning will be especially fun to look back on.

I know I will be disappointed when I look back and seven months of 2013 are missing.  To give you at least an overview of our 2013 beginning  and to help me get back into blogging mode, I decided to dedicate my posts this week to a brief synopsis of what we have been up to.

So here we go! January and February 2013...
Well not going to lie, not a whole lot happened.  Looking back, I don't think I took a single picture in the whole month of February!  But here are a couple shots of our New Years Eve with our friends Alicia, Wade and Megan :)

Happy New Year!

Stay tuned for more updates this week!
