WW: A Plethora of Costumes

Peacock: I really wanted to wear a tutu and a lot of make up this year after being Amy Farrah Fowler last year, which was funny but boring.

Loofah: Brye wins for most tulle used!

American Gothic:  The hosts of the party we went to on Saturday.  Very appropriate since the party was in a barn.  This was my favorite being the art teacher I am.

We Are Maze Masters

That's right... Brye, Fisch and I are now "Maze Masters".

On Friday night we drove to Lodi, WI to check out the famous 

Treinen Farm corn maze.

It took us around two hours to navigate the 15 acre maze. Thank goodness Fisch is a map guy! 

In the end, though, we were deemed masters of the maze...or so said the glossy, colored piece of paper they gave us ;)

A Birthday Get Together

Sunday, we celebrated my Grandma's 90th Birthday.  It was such a good day in so many ways. Beautiful October weather, yummy food, and reconnecting with family who I have not seen in ages.

Hopefully there will be many more birthdays to celebrate together :)

This beautiful lady turns 90 today...of course she would yell at me if she knew I just told you that.

My grandma is one of the people I love most in this world.  She is one of the strongest, fiestiest, prettiest, most loving women I know and I hope to be like her in many ways when I grow up.

Fill in the Blank Friday

1.  One thing I plan on doing to relax this weekend is   sit here on the couch, eat mac and cheese, fill out "fill in the blank Friday", and watch The Wonder Years on Netflix.

2.  A big pet peeve of mine is  time left on the microwave.  It is the only clock we have in our kitchen but I know it is not :14 o'clock!   .

3.  I am really loving  my new Dr. Scholl's shoe inserts that give me arch support and heel cushion... Yup. I'm old. But seriously, super comfy.

4. The rain is   soothing, when I get to listen to it from the comfort of my couch snuggled up under and blanket but annoying, when I have to get from my car into school and my shoes are not water proof and I somehow step in every puddle on the way.

5. My favorite girly indulgence is  dresses and skirts.  I have a ton of them but I always find myself looking for more.

6. A song I always get stuck in my head is  ....why is it when you are trying to think of a song to get stuck in your head you can't think of one??.

7.  The best cure for stress is  comfy pants.  Seriously, never underestimate the power of comfy pants.

Our Weekend...

This picture of Penny pretty much explains what we did all weekend.  Fisch's Grandpa's funeral was on Friday.  It was a busy, emotional, and really just a long day. The rest of the weekend was rainy and cold.  We spent most of Sunday curled up on the couch watching paranormal investigation shows.  Really it was actually quite nice.

W(ish)W: Poker Face

Last weekend, Fisch and I attended a Chili and Poker night at a friends place.  Chili and cornbread was delicious and even though I hadn't played poker in ages, hence the cheat sheet in the first picture, and at one point I only had 6 white chips left, I ended up winning it all.  Oh yeah... look at all those $1's! I was obviously very excited.

Oh yeah... I cut it all off because I was bored and needed a new look for Fall.  Change is good :)

WW: CO by Fisch

 

A couple weeks ago, Fisch went on a week long camping/bow hunting trip with his Dad to Colorado.  He didn't get the elk he was hunting for but he did get to shoot some gorgeous photos.

I am thinking we are going to need to get this one printed, like really big, asap.
